VIDEOGRAPHY & EDITING
FINAL WORKS
This was the first of two online charity showcases during the years of Covid-19. Originally these talents were shown in person, however, due to the pandemic we were unable to gather them. This is a charity I used to take part in when I was in school and I would sing with my school choir every year around Christmas time to raise awareness and toys for women and children who are in shelters due to domestic abuse. It was an amazing experience to be able to give back to the community with this showcase.

My role: Edit and compile a showcase for a Montreal Charity called The Toy Tea Montreal.

Creative Process: This project had multiple layers of planning. Firstly, I had to organize all the talent entries and figure out if I'd received everything I needed because I couldn't begin editing unless I received videos from all the different schools. Secondly, I then had to create an order so that it was a mix of talents, schools and ages. The creative problem a challenging part of this project, was making sure I created a diverse and continuously entertaining showcase, meaning that I needed to make sure I was putting an interesting and attention-grabbing talent before a calmer and more serious talent. To solve this problem I created a time line made out of sticky notes so that I could move around each act until I was happy with the order. (Seen below in photo) Lastly, I had to make sure the transitions worked and make a title sequence to match the theme of the charity.

I also had the opportunity to remodel their online website:
